Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells.
“The Time Machine” is a science fiction novel published in 1895 and this is his most famous work.
The book tells the story of the invention of a time machine in the future, and we witness the adventures of our protagonist, Victor, through this time machine.

I’m going to handle this presentation with 6 questions.
[Sunumdan maddeler]
Here we go…

The story takes place in London, England in the late 19th century.
That machine allows him to travel through time and he goes into the distant future like 802.701 year.
While the locations he visits are in the future, they all kind of Victorian England.

Time Traveller
The main character in “The Time Machine” is known only as “the Time Traveller.” He is a brilliant inventor and scientist who creates a time machine and embarks on a journey through time. The Time Traveller is curious and adventurous. He is also introspective and philosophical, reflecting on the nature of humanity and civilization as he travels through time.

Weena:
a young Eloi woman who befriends the Time Traveller in the distant future. She is gentle and innocent, but also fragile and vulnerable in a dangerous world.

Morlocks:
a subterranean race of creatures who prey on the Eloi. The Morlocks are savage and brutish.
It represents a kind of degeneration of humanity in the distant future.

Eloi:
a peaceful and childlike race of beings who inhabit the distant future.

The Time Traveller creates a time machine and travels to the distant future. He encounters two different races of beings: the peaceful and childlike Eloi, and the savage and brutish Morlocks.

As he explores this strange world, befriends a young Eloi woman named Weena, and tries to protect her from the dangers of this future world.

At the same time, he lost his time machine and tries to find it.

Finally, the Time Traveller finds his time machine and returns to his own time, where he shares his story with his friends.
The novel ends with the Time Traveller disappearing on a second journey and nobody get news from him after that journey.

The novel’s main moral message is danger of social inequality and the importance of social responsibility.
And also suggests that without proper social and ethical standards, a society can become divided and finally self-destructive.

My favorite character is one of a race of creatures.  Eloi. Because all they care about is playing games and living happily.

I don’t recommend this book if you have a short time, because it’a science fiction novel and has a philosophical side at the same time. So I have struggled when I read it.

Thank you for your attention.

Aralarda merhaba ben onur yada görselde okuduğum kısımları felan pas geçtim, kabaca yazdım, umarım faydalı olur.

İyi günler dilerim
